12-Year-Old Boy Dies After Hit and Run in St. Louis
According to an article on the Fox2Now St. Louis website, a twelve-year-old boy is dead because of a fatal hit and run accident.
The boy was walking along a roadway in South St. Louis one night, and a twenty-three-year-old man driving a red Audi with a black hood was speeding down the road. The boy crossed the street at an intersection, and the man hit him, then sped away without stopping.
There were several witnesses who saw the accident, and one of them called 911 to get help for the young boy. Police and paramedics responded to the site, and the paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he died the following morning.
Fortunately, the driver was tracked down because people were able to get a description of his vehicle, and someone was even able to give police officers his address. He was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter. The article does state that he attempted to remove the black paint from his vehicle to try and hide its description from police.
