2 People Injured At University Of Illinois With Blow Darts

Each year, college students return to universities with high hopes for the coming school year. Their thoughts are filled with getting to know new roommates and getting adjusted to their new schedules. They don’t expect to be attacked as they walk across campus. However, this year, as students returned to the University of Illinois, they were met with a nineteen-year-old wielding blow darts.

The arrest was made once the authorities received an anonymous tip about his identity. The victims were a twenty-year-old woman and a thirty-five-year-old man. Both individuals were hit by the blow darts in their left arms, and both were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.

These types of careless injuries happen on college campuses all the time and may even happen in our own state. Quite often, the person or people responsible for them believe they are playing a practical joke, or just trying to have fun. Unfortunately, the victims have to deal with the consequences of their “fun”.
