5 Injured In Police Pursuit Resulting In Multiple Vehicle Crash
Police chases aren’t just in the movies.
A vehicle containing two men fired weapons at an unmarked police vehicle which began a three-hour car chase that ended in tragedy. After firing on the police vehicle, the suspects fled. They were spotted a short time later, but they managed to evade police pursuit. Eventually, they were tracked down and several squad cars engaged in the pursuit and eventual capture of the two suspects.
Unfortunately, the apprehension of the two criminals occurred after they ran a red light, drove into oncoming traffic. They stuck a vehicle head-on, causing the car to roll several times and strike another vehicle.
When the dust settled, in addition to the two criminals in the car, three other people were injured in the crash. The worst injury was a broken femur and shattered pelvis, suffered by the driver of the car struck head-on by the fleeing gunmen. The two other victims were taken to the hospital, but appear to have minor injuries.
Unfortunately, the world is not devoid of criminal elements. In addition, there are people who do not always think about what they are doing.
