Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Accident in St. Louis
Pedestrian accidents are far too common in St. Louis. Unfortunately, these types of accidents are much more likely to lead to death than even multiple car accidents. Recently, a hit and run resulted in the death of one man, according to an article on the KMOV website.
The accident occurred around 9 pm on Interstate 270. The article states that the man had been walking along an overpass on Lilac when he was hit by a gold Chevy pickup truck. Witnesses who saw the accident stated that the pickup truck sped away from the scene.
Paramedics were called to the crash site and the man was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical, unstable condition. Unfortunately, he died later at the hospital.
Even though the police have a description of the vehicle, a license plate number was not obtained, and at the time the article was written, investigators were still searching for the driver.
Accidents like this are terrible, and unfortunately there are people who will drive away if they hit a pedestrian. Eventually this driver will be caught and when he is the victim’s family has the right to file a case against him with St. Louis pedestrian accident attorneys.
