Two People are Dead Following Boating Accident
Two people are reported to have been killed in a boating accident on Rend on June 26. The St. Louis Today article on the accident said the man and woman were associated with a recreational boating sales company and were out test driving a speed boat when they collided with another boat. Of the three people on the other boat one was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries and another suffered minor injuries. There is no word yet as to what actually happened but the boat the two deceased occupied was found 30 feet inland so it seems a very forceful collision took place.
The St. Louis area has been under a heat wave and the summer here always sees many boaters taking advantage of warm weather. This story illustrates how the negligent act of a boater can sometimes have very serious consequences.
