One Vehicle Crash takes the Life of the Operator
On Saturday February 2nd a tractor trailer operator lost control of his truck exiting Interstate 44 and entering Interstate 270 and has died in the crash involving no other vehicles. According to the news story published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the police believe the sudden snow may have had something to do with the accident. The snow was also reported to have caused a number of other minor accidents in the area on the 2nd but nothing as tragic as this event.
The sudden onset of bad weather is often the cause, or at least a portion of the cause, of many accidents in the St. Louis area. The many interstate roadways that crisscross our area are heavily travelled by tractor trailers like the one involved in this crash. At times the drivers of these vehicles can become distracted and/or operate their vehicles in an aggressive manner.
Distracted or aggressive driving combined with poor road conditions can be a recipe for disaster. If you have been a victim in an accident involving one of these large vehicles you need to review your rights to compensation from any negligent party.
