Charges in Fatal Chesterfield Car Crash Still Pending
Criminal charges may be filed for a car crash that occurred in Chesterfield on the 28th of February. The fatal car crash took the life of 18-year-old Clayton Pfeiffer, a freshman at the Missouri Baptist University.
Local authorities said that law enforcement officers had visited the office of the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney sometime after last Friday to investigate the case.
Typically, the decision to charge will be made by the county prosecutor, Robert P. McCulloch, who is based in Clayton.
The accident involved a total of three cars. A black 2012 Infinity SUV was crossing into oncoming traffic on Olive Boulevard at Creve Couer Mill, and it collided head-on with Pfeiffer’s silver 1988 Honda Accord.
The two men in the SUV were injured in the car crash, and they received treatment at local hospitals. Both the driver, Dale Kawamura, 35, and the passenger, Steven Hammer, 32, are from Oakland, California.
The third vehicle that was involved in the crash, a white 2007 Dodge truck, was driven by Jerome Drapp, 46, from St. Louis. He did not suffer any injury.
