Country Star Chris Cagle Arrested For DWI
Anyone can be arrested for drunk driving, and country music sensation, Chris Cagle, is proof.
The forty-five-year-old star was arrested earlier in December near Dallas, Texas. According to an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website, he was pulled over after he ran a red light. The police officer on the scene noticed that he appeared to be intoxicated and began conducting field sobriety tests. Cagle failed the tests, and was arrested.
He was later released on $3,000 bail.
Fortunately, no one was hurt because of Cagle’s irresponsible behavior. However, this situation could have ended very poorly if he had been in an accident. This arrest was his first offense, and it is unclear whether or not he will be fined, or serve jail time.
A DWI is a serious offense, and when a drunk driver causes an accident, it can bring a great deal of pain and heartache to the families involved. Even if the victim of a DWI crash survives, the person has been sentenced to a lifetime of pain and suffering, in some cases.
