Family Dollar Recalls Mini-light sets
On July 12 the retail chain Family Dollar Stores issued a recall of decorative lights sold between September 2011 and December 2011. They are decorative Christmas lights and may be in many homes right now packed away with other Holiday items. Hoffman & Gelfman advise anyone who has purchased these items to return them immediately.
The name of the product is “200 mini lights” and they have been known to heat up and the company believes they could create a fire hazard. They do not meet UL standards and may be a shock risk as well. You can visit the company’s help section on their web site www.familydollar.com for more information.
