Fatal Accident Closes I-64 in Semi and Auto Crash

Everyone knows that big rigs or tractor trailers are some of the most dangerous vehicles on the road. Getting into an accident with one is likely to be disastrous. This was the case for one accident that occurred in St. Louis, according to the Fox2News website.

The crash took place in the morning, and it involved a tractor trailer and five cars. The article states that the tractor trailer rear-ended a Honda Accord when it slowed down in front of the larger vehicle. The driver of the big rig claimed that he just wasn’t able to stop in time.

Authorities stated that the crash itself could have been much worse. It could have easily involved as many as 20 cars. As it turned out, the Honda caught on fire, and the driver died as a result of the accident. Everyone else involved only had non-life threatening injuries and were treated at local hospitals.

In this case, it appears that the tractor trailer driver was not at fault for the crash. However, that’s usually not the case. As your St. Louis truck accident attorney, we’ve seen far too many accidents when they are to blame.

If you’re involved in an accident with a tractor trailer, please seek legal assistance right away. Putting it off could be detrimental to your case. A qualified St. Louis truck accident attorney can advise you about what you should do next.
