Fatal Crash in Franklin County Kills Motorcyclist

With the warm weather here, we’ve been seeing motorcycles all around the St. Louis area. Unfortunately, this also means that there are going to be motorcycle accidents that result in injury or even death for some motorcyclists. One such accident occurred this past week in Franklin County, and it resulted in the death of a twenty-one-year-old man who was riding his motorcycle north on Highway PP.

A seventy-six-year-old man driving a Ford Explorer was crossing the highway at the time, going from one driveway to another. However, he stopped in the middle of the road at the exact moment the motorcycle was approaching. The motorcyclist attempted to swerve to avoid the SUV, but hit the front of it. He was thrown from his bike and struck a nearby utility pole. Unfortunately, he died at the hospital at a later time.

As your St. Louis personal injury attorney, we feel it’s important to continually remind you to exercise caution when you’re driving this time of year. Any unusual stops or turns could be fatal for someone near you who is riding a motorcycle.

If you or someone you love is injured in a motorcycle accident, it’s very important for you to contact a St. Louis personal injury attorney right away. Negligence cannot be ignored, and an attorney will fight to get you the compensation you deserve.
