Fifteen-Year-Old Girl is Charged for Fatal Hit and Run Accident in St. Louis

In the month of June of this year, a fifty-year-old man was killed because of injuries he sustained in a car accident in St. Louis. The details surrounding the accident were unclear at the time, but according to a recent article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a fifteen-year-old girl has been arrested following an investigation into the events of what happened that night.

The article says that it was unclear if she had a learner’s permit, but she was driving alone down Ann Avenue in St. Louis. The accident occurred around 2:30 in the morning.

Originally, officials believed that the man had been struck by a Jeep as well, however, they have come to the conclusion now that the Mercedes that the young woman had been driving was the only car to hit him. He died in the hospital a week after the accident took place.

Unfortunately, many young kids believe that having a learner’s permit gives them permission to drive at any time, whether they have a licensed driver in the car with them or not. In this case, this man suffered a great deal because of his injuries and his family is left to wonder why these types of things occur.

When you’re injured in an accident, regardless of the circumstances behind it, you deserve justice. You deserve compensation, and as your St. Louis personal injury attorney, we will help you get it.
