Lunch Box Recall
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission today announced a recall of the Ci Sport insulated lunch box set which included a freezer gel pack. The Ci Sport lunch box was sold at Cost U Less, Leon Korol and Costco from May, 2007 to September, 2008. The lunch box was available in four colors: denim blue, red, black and navy and contains a code “1-61731-99-57” printed on one of the two white labels sewn under inside the main compartment.
This product was imported from China by California Innovations Inc., of Toronto, Canada, and comes with a freezer gel pack containing diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol that can leak and be hazardous if ingested. The freezer pack is imprinted with the words “Cryofreeze” and “IcePack/HotPack” and measures 6×4 inches.
If you are in possession of this product, you are advised to stop using the gel packs and dispose of it according to federal, state and/or local regulations. Refunds are available by contacting Costo or California Innovations.
