St. Louis Car Accident Claims the Lives of Two Toddlers
As a parent, there’s nothing worse than losing your child. Recently, a mother in St. Louis was involved in a car accident that claimed the lives of her two children, according to an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website.
Her three-year-old son had just had his first day at school, and the mother had taken both of her children to pick up their father at the MetroLink station in North St. Louis. Unfortunately, neither child was using a safety or booster seat at the time of the crash.
The car that hit her was an SUV being driven by a nineteen year old man, and there are no details about his identity. The mother was making a left turn onto University Place Drive when her car was struck on the rear passenger side. A witness stated that the force of the crash propelled the car into the air and then it was torn in half. The children were both ejected from the vehicle.
The toddlers were pronounced dead when they arrived at the hospital.
