Thieves Cause Car Accident While Escaping
Two thieves were captured by police after causing one of three accidents on Interstate 64 in St. Louis, according to an article on the KMOV website.
Authorities stated that the two suspects – a man and a woman – attempted to cash a bad check at a bank in Brentwood. The teller immediately notified police, who arrived on the scene within a few minutes. The suspects fled from the bank, and drove to Interstate 64, where they drove westbound in the eastbound lanes.
After the crash, they tried to run away on foot and they ended up hiding in a storm drain, where they were captured by police. The female suspect was charged with forgery, while the male suspect was charged with resisting arrest.
