17-Year-Old Dies in Head-On Collision in St. Louis County
Head-on collisions are becoming much too frequent in the St. Louis area. A recent head-on crash occurred just outside St. Louis, and it took the life of a seventeen-year-old named Darion, according to an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website.
The young man driving the car was the victim’s cousin and close friend. The crash was caused when another vehicle struck them head-on in the southbound lanes. It was reported that the two people in the other vehicle were having a heated argument, which may have led to the accident.
At the scene of the crash, the vehicle Darion was in was partially in flames. A man pulled Darion out of the car from the passenger side window, and the driver was pulled through the same window. A third individual was rescued by other individuals at the crash site.
Darion died from internal injuries at the hospital, and the driver is still in critical condition, suffering from many severe injuries as a result of the crash.
