ConAgra Worker Who Fell to His Death had Cocaine in His System
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported on January 22 that the ConAgra worker who fell to his death in August was found to have cocaine in his bloodstream. When he had fallen there was a story in the news that he complained of dizziness before he fell approximately 70 feet from a one man lift platform and ultimately died of head trauma and other injuries. The company has been cooperating with OSHA on an investigation of the accident since the date of the incident.
According to OSHA falls are one of the prime reasons for fatalities at work and there are many guidelines that companies must follow to ensure worker safety. The presence of an illegal substance may shed some light on what happened in this particular incident but the investigation is still ongoing with no schedule set for their final report.
