Armed Robber Dressed in Drag is Arrested

When you think of an armed robbery, you most likely think of a man wearing a mask of some kind, and possibly wearing black clothing. However, not all robbers are created equal.

According to a recent article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website, a Kirkwood Walgreens was recently robbed by a man dressed in drag. He was armed, and he wore a blue dress and a dark-colored wig. He also carried a purse. The average customer might not have looked twice, and this disguise seemed like a good idea at the time.

Fortunately, no one in the store was hurt, and when the robber got into the getaway car, his accomplices quickly left the scene. Walgreens employees called the police, and before long the vehicle was apprehended after it was forced to stop due to a flat tire.

Robberies can happen anywhere, and they’re certainly commonplace in St. Louis. Even though no one was hurt during this particular incident, the outcome could have resulted in injuries. As your St. Louis personal injury attorney, please stay aware of your surroundings, even when you’re just going to your local Walgreens to pick up a prescription. If you see something suspicious, notify the police.
