Driver Fleeing Police Injures Six

Last Saturday evening a driver in St. Louis crashed into three different cars injuring a total of six people while trying to escape police, one of the victims died at the scene. The driver’s name has not yet been released. According to the news report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch there were two cars, that were chasing each other and the police attempted to stop one, a white Chevy Impala to end the chase.  In an effort to evade police the driver went sped a stop sign and hit a Ford Taurus. The driver of the Taurus was pronounced dead on the scene and a passenger was injured severely and hospitalized.

Trying to elude the police can have dire consequences for any driver and this case is a perfect example of a wrongful death.  While a lawsuit will not help bring a loved one back the family of the deceased is entitled to seek compensation from the driver whose recklessness caused this very unfortunate incident.
