Family of Man Killed in Auto Accident with Celebrity Settles Case for $2.5 Million
Wrongful death lawsuits can result in decent settlements for the victims' families. But even more money may be paid out when the person to blame for the accident is a celebrity. You may remember a crash that took place in 2017 that involved Chris Soules from The Bachelor. The family recently won a settlement of $2.5 million.
The victim in the accident was a sixty-six-year-old man from Aurora. He was killed when Soules' truck rear-ended his tractor. The actor fled the scene, which led to an aggravated misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
Soules' parents were also named in the lawsuit, and a judge approved the settlement only three days after it was filed. He is awaiting sentencing, and the family is awaiting justice.
