Nursing Home in Tulsa Forced to Close

The Woodland View Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tulsa Oklahoma has had to relocate all of its residents and close as a result of an ongoing battle with both Federal and State regulators. The closing of this facility is part of an agreement that the parent company, Sun Healthcare Group, agreed to with federal regulators. Sun Healthcare Group owns approximately one hundred and ninety facilities in many states, including right here in Missouri, which are all being purchased by Genesis Healthcare, LLC.

The Woodland View Care and Rehabilitation Center has had numerous citations for not protecting patients, abuse and a multitude of other violations over the last several years.  One resident had died after having had a fever for days and staff member were reportedly very “uncooperative” with paramedics brought in to attend to this victim. Nursing home abuse like this cannot go unpunished and any violations or suspicions of abuse or improper care must be immediately reported.

At Hoffman & Gelfman we have a long history of experience in fighting for the rights of those injured as a result of nursing home abuse or neglect.
