Woman Dies after Falling from a Motorcycle

A woman who fell from the back of a motorcycle driven by her husband was struck and killed near Fenton on Saturday September 22, 2012. The accident occurred on Highway 141 near Centurion Drive.

The motorcycle was traveling in the center lane of Highway 141 at the time of the unfortunate incident.  When another vehicle tried to merge into the center lane the driver swerved to the left but there was a car in that lane.  When he veered back to avoid the vehicle in the left lane he lost control of the motorcycle and his passenger was thrown off and struck by an oncoming car. There were no tickets issued to any driver at the time of the accident but all drivers were tested at the scene in an effort to rule out driving under the influence.
