Parents of Car Crash Victim Seek Damages from Warren County
The parents of a sixteen year old girl who died in a car accident on Augusta Bottom road, in Warren county Missouri two years ago have filed for damages in the accident. In a St. Louis Post-Dispatch story reporting the lawsuit on November 20, 2012 the parents are said to be suing the county and five other jurisdictions for their daughter’s wrongful death. The suit charges that these government bodies were aware of several incidents that resulted in accidents on the road but failed to take the necessary actions to prevent further incidents.
The road has since had guardrails installed to a section in St. Charles County where another fatal crash had occurred. The only word on damages sought in the story was that Warren County was being sued for $25,000. No jurisdictions have had any comments about the suit at the time of the publishing of the article.
