Perry County Woman Dies in Tragic Accident
When car accidents happen in St. Louis, it’s not always the driver who suffers from injuries or becomes the victim in a fatal crash. Passengers are just as much at risk as drivers are, and in this case one passenger didn’t survive.
According to an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website, a young Festus woman was partially thrown from a vehicle as it veered off the road going around a curve, and then crashed into a dirt embankment. The woman was instantly killed, while the driver and the other passenger in the vehicle only sustained injuries as a result of the crash.
While it’s important to note that no one who was involved in this accident was wearing a seatbelt, the article is unclear about what exactly caused the accident to occur. It may have been reckless driving, or it could have possibly been because of alcohol intoxication. Either way, it shouldn’t have happened, and now one family is mourning the loss of someone they love because of it.
