A forty-one-year-old Alton man was allegedly beaten with various weapons, including a motorcycle helmet and a golf club by three assailants earlier this month. According to an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website, a relative of the victim reportedly shot one of the assailants in the leg at a local convenience store on that same night.
