Semi-Truck Causes Fatal Accident Near St. Louis

According to an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website, four people were injured and one woman was killed because of a semi-truck accident. Witnesses stated that a woman jumped out of the passenger side of the semi-truck before the accident occurred. Police officers are not sure what the relationship was between the woman and the truck driver. However, once she jumped out of the truck, he started to speed and he hit several other vehicles in his path.
One of the vehicles he hit overturned and went into a ditch. A sixty-seven-year-old woman was in the vehicle at the time, and she died at the scene. The truck driver was taken into custody and an investigation is currently in progress.
