Once police officers arrived on the scene, the man returned to his minivan and drove away. What police officers did not know was that the couple’s three children were in the backseat of the minivan. Fortunately, the children were not seriously hurt. They were treated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the minivan fled the scene of the crash, and was not immediately located.
