St. Louis Police Officer Investigated for DWI After Crash

Some people assume that only non-law abiding citizens get into trouble with the law, but that’s not always the case. In a recent article on the Fox2Now website, we find a story regarding an off-duty police officer with thirteen years of service in St. Louis who is now being investigated for a DWI after an early morning car accident.

The crash occurred on McCausland Avenue, where the officer hit a fire department vehicle parked on the street. Afterwards, the officer’s car stopped on the lawn of a residence. He was driving his personal vehicle when the crash occurred, and authorities who responded to the call have turned the case over to internal affairs as a possible DWI case.

This is a perfect example of the fact that no one is above the law, and with so many people in the St. Louis area, accidents involving police officers or others in high authority are bound to happen from time to time.
