St. Louis Rave Results in Drug Overdoses and Sexual Assaults

Raves, which are wild parties that involve loud music, strobe lights and excessive amounts of sex, alcohol and drugs, have been very popular for a few decades now. They’re frequently held in abandoned warehouses because it’s easier to hide any illegal activity. It’s not surprising that raves tend to get out of control, which is what one twenty-year-old St. Louis man recently discovered.

The man credits himself with throwing the largest rave that’s ever taken place in the county. Over 2,000 people showed up, and many of them were underage, according to an article on the St. Louis Fox website. Once police and emergency personnel showed up, it was determined that there had been six drug overdoses and at least one count of sexual assault.

The organizer of the rave does not regret his decision to organize the event. He considers it a great success, and shows no remorse for the problems that occurred as a result.

As your St. Louis personal injury attorney, we hear of cases like this all the time. Underage teens make poor decisions, and at times, there are few things that parents can do to keep them from attending these types of parties. However, by contacting a St. Louis personal injury attorney, and fighting for compensation, we can work together to make sure people like this man pay for their crimes.
